Bible Verse : Luke 11.9

Date : October 13, 2009

Today it is pouring in the bay area. I need an Umbrella desperately to go to work as I have to walk 10 mins from the train station. If you have read my previous blogs, you would have known by this time that tuesdays & thurdays are a bit of a rush for me as it is my turn to drop the kids at school and run to catch the 8 am train.

All the umbrellas at home had torn or broken except one gigantic umbrella. Last night, I asked my husband where it was and he said it must be in the van. I closed the house, threw my bags in the van and started searching the van. I found the small one which was ready to break and not the big one. I was frantic. I took the small one and said aloud, almost in a crying voice, 'Lord, please help me' and looked around in the garage and couldn't locate the big umbrella.

I decide to take the small broken one and got into the van. I looked at the passenger seat for my handbag and it was not there. I had the lunch bag, but not the handbag. I was puzzled. I brought both the bags out of the house. Where could have it gone? I was on 'Panic'

mode now. I remember putting down the bags for a few seconds on the steps near the ddor to the kichen before picking it up. So, I ran to the door. There it was on the steps! I was trying to figure out in my head, 'How could I have done this? I remember taking both the bags and placing them on the passenger seat! I bent to pick up the bag and turned my eyes to the right. What was that I see! The big umbrella that I was searching for all this time! I said 'Praise the Lord' loudly and started the van. My kids looked at me like I was crazy.

Lesson I learned:
People that read this blog might think that I am crazy to make this as a big deal. But, I honestly believe that it was a miracle that God did to help me find the umbrella. The point is whether big or small, God answers our prayer/request when we call upon him and seek him. The bible says in
Luke 11:9
And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
